The doorbell rang to see my father holding a medium-sized box wrapped in clowns and balloons. My daughter squealed with delight as she knew that the treasure he held was her birthday present from Papa.
Paper was thrown about, as she revealed to the Petermann Household "Tekno" our new cyber mutt. To many people, it is just a toy. But for my daughter, who's skiddish around dogs and can't have one where we live, this was a hidden blessing in disguise- and it doesn't poop on the floor either!
My daughter began to ramble off names for him, as my dad opened the black and silver box with the clear plastic window. He had a hard time getting it out, so I suggest that if you buy this for a special child in your life, to have it out of the box, batteries in, and have it ready to go wrapped in a different box. Oh, she named him "Commander."
Tekno came with a card trick and his own small, silver bone to chomp on. The card trick is a piece of carrdboard with four different types of cards on it, Teckno seemed to just bark everytime we tried the game.
"So what does Tekno do?" I asked my dad. He is into buying the wierdest things that honestly, I have never seen before. I was pleasantly surprised that Tekno did some really cute things!
He will:
*Walk towards you when call him- as he is voice activated! Make sure his legs are straighten before he attempts to walk, otherwise he will fall over!
*Tekno barks and wags his tail on voice command as well.
*Tekno's eyes light up bright orange and blink too!
*You can pet Tekno on his head and he will wag his tail and bark happily.
*Make eating noises as the bone is held to his mouth.
*The cool part is that you can access more tricks for Tekno by visiting the website: www.Tekno-robot.com
*yelp when gets stuck somewhere while trying to walk.
The greatest thing for parents is that there is an on/off button, so that puppy can be shut up in no time!! Just make sure to check that button when the kids leave it to find something else:)
He takes 4 Double "AA" Batteries which he seems to eat through, so be careful to how much he is played with at given times. He makes a great Christmas present for any child without a pet or who are allergic as well:)
