Pros: Technicians were very helpful and supportive. No problem returning the mattress.
Cons: Too hard ... developed aches and pains after only 4-5 hours in the bed
The Bottom Line: Try it out before buying. Obviously, some people love it, others hate it ... so it's a matter of personal preference

| wob4u's Full Review: Tempur-Pedic Swedish Mattress |
After listening to my spouse complain of back pains and feeling as though she was sleeping in hole, I finally gave up on my expensive coiled mattress (though it was less than 2 years old), and took Tempur-Pedic up on their 45-day, at-home trial.
We were excited the day the mattress arrived (it took nearly 3 weeks from request to deliver), but the excitement didn't last long. The first night we slept on the bed, it felt as though we were lying on a slab of hard foam. There wasn't much "give" and certainly not the "give" you see in the TV advertisements. However, we were intent on making it work for us.
We continued to suffer through long nights of fitful sleep and trying to toss and turn (turning on one's side is more difficult on this bed than on a conventional mattress) for about 6-7 days, before I called a Tempur-Pedic technician and asked for some advice/help.
We were told to take the outer cover off--allowing for more body heat to be transfered directly to the mattress--and to raise the room temperature slightly. We did so, and over the coming couple of weeks, my side of the bed had softened enough that I was able to sleep through most of the night without awakening to a painful shoulder or hip, and without feeling like I needed to climb out of the impression I was finally making in the mattress. However, I never did feel completely rested.
Unfortunately, my wife was never able to sleep more than about 5 hours in the bed before her increasing lower back pain forced her to head off to the guest room and its conventional mattress. I even tried sleeping on her side of the bed, thinking that my additional weight would further soften the bed ... but to no avail.
So, sadly, I returned the mattress following the trial period and am now looking for another alternative to our coiled mattress.
