Pros: More comfy than the orginal bed, Better sleep, Integrity, Easy on the eyes.
Cons: Not as comfy as the Grand Bed/BellaSonna, Ergo is costly, Heavy,Can't wash the cover.
The Bottom Line: If you are on the market for a new foam mattress, I highly suggest checking out The EuroBed/Prima Bed Swedish mattress by Tempur-Pedic.

After owning a slew of uncomfortable low quality coil-spring mattresses, I decided to go the memory-foam route. I initially was on the market for one of those Tempur-Pedic knock-off mattresses in hopes of saving a few bucks, but found that none of them felt remotely similar to the Tempur-Pedic models, not to mention the savings on some of these competing foam mattresses were negligible at best. I ended up choosing Tempur-Pedic's EuroBed (now known as the Prima Bed) model due its superior comfort over every memory foam mattress I tested, including Tempur-Pedic's basic orginal bed, the Symphony bed, Classic bed, and even the costlier CelebrityBed and the Rhapsody Bed.
A bit of info about the EuroBed/Prima bed.
You have undoubtedly seen those monotonous commercials for Tempur-Pedic mattresses, so I'll spare the details and do a quick rundown specific to the EuroBed..... Like all the Tempur-Pedic beds, the EuroBed model (now known as the Prima bed) is a no-flip/no-rotate mattress made of modified viscoelastic memory foam (super dense memory foam called "Tempur-Material") that is designed to relieve pressure points throughout the body via billions of heat sensing memory cells. Unlike Tempur-Pedic's lesser models, the Euro Bed comes with five layers of foam; three layers of multi-density Tempur-Material for comfort & support and two layers of base foam that supports the Tempur-Material and allows for better air flow throughout the mattress. Also, exclusive to the EuroBed comes a comfy and attractive white velour/tan suede cover with its own layer of Tempur-Pedic foam built in. You should note that the EuroBed model only comes in queen, king, and cal-king sizes and is available with or without a foundation. Tempur-Pedic recommends that you buy one of their foundations, however any solid foundation with little or no give should be adequate. I have my EuroBed sitting on a solid Spring Air foundation and have had no issues with the mattress sagging.
Measuring approximately 80" long, 60" wide, and 11" tall, regular queen-sized sheets most likely will not fit the EuroBed, at least not properly. In addition to buying oversized sheets, I recommend buying a mattress protector for the EuroBed; it's a pain trying to spot-clean the non-washable velour/suede cover. You should also take note that this mattress isn't light (weighs about 120 lbs), so you may need someone to help you set it up on a foundation.
Initial impressions 0-6 months:
I prefer a soft mattress, but due to back-pain and insomnia it keeps me from owning one. In comparison to the herd of copycat viscoelastic foam beds found in stores, and even some of Tempur-Pedic's own lesser models, the EuroBed's foam feels extremely dense: almost hard at first touch. As the Eurobed's cells adjust to the temperature of your body, however, this mattress softens up quite a bit. However, the Eurobed never softens up so much as to compromise back support. The feeling of this mattress conforming to the curvature of your body is hard to explain. Think.. a controlled decent into the depths of thick cloud. Never, though, does the EuroBed make you feel like you are sinking too deep in your own body impressions (the case with some of those cheaper foam-beds). Because of this unique sinking feel, I did have some worries that it would take some time getting accustomed to this unique mattress. This wasn't the case at all. The very first night I slept great. In the morning I woke up feeling refreshed with no back pain, something that hasn't happened in a very long time.
The quality of this bed is also superior to other foam beds, including much of Tempur-Pedic's own beds, save for the Grand Bed and the BellaSonna bed. I have unzipped the covers of many competing memory foam mattresses to find that the edges of the foam were miss-cut or jagged. In some severe cases, these mattresses would have large chunks of visco foam missing from the sleeping surface. Surely, an uneven sleeping surface can't be a good thing. The Tempur-Pedic EuroBed mattress, however, provides a smooth linear surface with no miss-cuts in the foam.
In addition to having sleep/back problems, I also have allergies, especially to dust mites and mold spores. The EuroBed's ability to resist the growth of fungi and dust mites has helped improve my sleep. Rarely do I wake up with a plugged nose or red eyes like I used to with my old Serta/Spring-Air mattresses or my Therma-Pedic (a fake Tempur-Pedic) mattress. Overall, during the first 6 months of ownership my back pain improved, I felt refreshed in the morning, and the puffiness under my eyes has even improved.
Does this bed sleep warm?
Though Tempur-Pedic claims that the EuroBed doesn't sleep warm, I do feel much warmer when I sleep on my EuroBed than I did with past conventional beds. This isn't a major gripe by any means, but those who like to cuddle with a bunch of blankets might just find it downright uncomfortable with the EuroBed. Also, if you have a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis, you may not find the increased heat/blood circulation to be comfortable. So far I have had no problems with the EuroBed aggravating my skin.
Post 10 months of ownership:
I have had my Tempur-Pedic EuroBed going on 11 months now and I can honestly say that I'm just as happy with this mattress now as I was the first night. Unlike conventional mattresses that I have owned, there is absolutely no sagging or any type of distortion with this mattress after nearly a year of use. When I talk with family and friends about my EuroBed, they always ask me if I get permanent body impressions. With the EuorBed, there has been absolutely no permanent body impressions . The temporary impressions that do occur at night, recover to a normal linear surface just as fast as they did when this bed was new (maybe 30-50 seconds max).
Another thing I have learned to like about this mattress is the increased sleeping area over most foam beds. Though this mattress doesn't have reinforced edges like my old Spring Air Back Supporter, the super-dense Tempur-Material still has enough integrity all the way to the edges that I can sleep virtually anywhere on the surface of this bed and still have enough support to sleep comfortably.
Warranty/ Price/Customer care:
I would have guessed that the prices for this bed would have come down significantly by now, but from the prices I am seeing online, they are about the same. Eleven months ago I paid around 2500 after taxes for my EuroBed with the 2 free pillows. While it was money well spent, the EuroBed is not cheap. If anything does go wrong with your bed i.e. sagging, The Tempur-Pedic Company provides this mattress with a full-coverage 10-year warranty against defects in workmanship and cell deterioration. After that 10 years, you get another 10 years where you are pro-rated to 50% at 10-years and less 5% every year thereafter . To activate the warranty you simply go to their warranty site and register your bed (requires about 10 minutes of your time). I haven't had to use my warranty, but Tempur-Pedic has a great reputation for customer satisfaction. The only gripes I have with this company is the daily mailings they send via e-mail and snail mail. If I only had a penny for every time this company has sent somethign in the mail trying to get me to buy another Tempur-Pedic.
Final Thoughts:
The EuroBed/Prima Bed is, hands down, the best mattresses I have ever owned. I wake up refreshed with more energy, I think clearer, and my back feels like it did when I was 19. I don't just recommend the EuroBed mattress to people with sleep disorders, I recommend this mattress to anyone who simply wants to make the most out of the 1/3rd of their lives spent sleeping. If you are on the market for a new mattress, I highly recommend checking out the EuroBed or the Prima bed model by Tempur-Pedic.
