Rhapsody bed, so far, so good!

Pros: molds to body, easy to fall asleep on
Cons: temperature sensitive, break-in period, arrives very cold from shipping and remain cold overnight, pricey
The Bottom Line: Mattress is worth the money. Very comfortable to sleep on. I wake up feeling more rested and longer energy through the day.

It's been a week since my husband and I received our king size Rhapsody set. First, I must say, this mattress is very heavy. It was delivered via freight, and weighed a total of 220 lbs including the two foundation boxes. Luckily we had a friend who was able to come and help us out. The mattress came shipped in a box, and then wrapped in plastic. The mattress also has built in handled on it, which makes moving it easier. Also, it has an unzippable cover if you want to wash it. However, this is not something I plan to do often, as it would be really hard to lift the mattress, and unzip it because it is on the bottom side of the mattress.
It did have a slight odor, but nothing that made us gag. Just a "new" smell that one would expect when buying something new like carpet or a car.
When we unpackaged the mattress, it was very cold from shipping. It remained cold through the night, although we turned out thermostat up to 80 degrees to speed the process along. I also walked on it as a gentleman in a store during my research suggested to soften it up. The first night we slept on it, we did feel that it was a bit firm. I tossed and turned quite a bit. However, I did not wake up with any kind of pain. I also felt better rested.
Now, a week later, we have found that it has been very comfortable to sleep in. I'm looking forward to getting into bed early tonight. Some people on here have said that it is hard to turn. I've had no problem at all switching positions. The materials adjusts almost immediately. And another criticism of it being too warm--not a problem for me either or my husband. We turn our thermostat down to 70 degrees at night, and find the mattress temperature to be comfortable.
Anther positive is that I fall asleep a lot quicker than I did on my old mattress. Usually I fall asleep within 5 minutes of closing my eyes. I'm also reaching a deeper sleep, as I used to hear every little thing at night to wake me up, and that has not been the case on a tempur pedic.
Concerning the pillows--I use a ComforPedic Serenity Pillow and my husband uses the TempurPedic Comfort Pillow. The ComforPedic is a little softer and that's what I prefer. My husband initially used the Comfort Pillow on our old mattress, but has found it feels more comfortable when using it with an actual TempurPedic bed.
Lastly, pricing--we bought our bed on ebay for a good deal. I'm not sure how TempurPedic works, but if anyone would like to take time to look around on ebay, there are many sellers who sell them brand new. I bought mine from what I could gather is a repuatable company. It did come with a seal of authenticity and warranty information. My receipt showed a wholesale distributor.
Overall, we are happy with the bed. We are sleeping better at night, and through ebay, we paid a more reasonable price.

Okay, so it's been a couple months now, and I've been meaning to add to my review. My Tempur-Pedic mattress is still very much a good investment to me. I've had no trouble falling asleep on this mattress since I bought it, and it still remains soft, yet firm. One thing I have noticed occaisonally when I've woke up at night is that it does trap heat. One night I woke up to feel that the material was hot. It didn't bother me though, since it was winter, I liked that it was a hot.
My dog also seems to enjoy being stretched out on our bed. He follows me into our room at night to jump into bed with me.
I'd still say that I reccomend this mattress, it was a good investment that I plan to keep for many years to come.
