After years of sleeping on an inexpensive bed, I started waking up with headaches. I attributed the headaches to our mattress. My husband and I bought our Tempurpedic mattress at a local mattress store. Although we had a hard time handing over so much money for a mattress, it was the best thing we could have done. We paid $3800 for a Cal King Celebrity model (this is a pillow top version). Within a few days my headaches were gone.
Since my husband works very early and I work late, part of our decision in buying the Tempurpedic was their claim that you can not feel the other person moving in the bed with you. It is absolutely TRUE! We love everything about this bed. One by one we have turned our friends and family on to Tempurpedic and they are all 150% satisfied.
It did take about a week to 10 days for us to get completely used to the bed. I was a little discouraged at first, but every night it got a little better until I was getting the best sleep ever. Another problem is the weight. It could be a little tricky to move because it is so heavy.
If you are considering purchasing one of these beds, there isn't much need for shopping around. There is set pricing, so it will be the same price everywhere you go. You can, however, shop around for freebies.... free delivery, free haul away of old mattress, free pillows, free sheets, no interest financing, etc.
I wouldn't think twice about purchasing it all over again!
