| fw288437's Full Review: Tempur-Pedic Swedish Mattress |
My wife have been waking up with a sore back on our 2 year old pillow top spring mattress. Recently we decided to shell out the money and invest in a Tempur-pedic bed as we heard and seen so many commercials on it.
Do have to admit that this mattress really does relieve the pressure on her back (and mine). It's like laying on a mold that is created just for you, supporting every crevice with the same level of firmness. This magical foam is really amazing because I can turn and toss all night long and my wife's side of the bed remains motionless. My kid sometimes jump on the bed and we can't feel any vibrations on the other side. We have yet to try the wine glass and jumping like we see in the commercials.
We do recommend some sort of protector sheet or cover placed over the mattress because it is an investment, we paid over $2K for a king size tempur-pedic and wanted to make sure it is clean. When it first arrived, there was a unique smell to it. We had to opened our windows and let the fans run and the smell is gone eventually. Also please make sure the delivery guys assemble the bed for you because the mattress weights a ton, very hard to handle by yourself.
If you are under 100 pounds, you may opt for the softer version of the mattress since the bed reacts based on your weight. A firm version will not notice you are on there and may not 'mold' to your curves. The best thing is to try it out at your local showroom. One option is to purchase 2 twin or full size mattresses based on your weight. When we bought ours they even threw in a set of Tempur-pedic pillows and the delivery is also free.
This is our 2nd year on the tempur-pedic and we are very happy with it. Sleep is very important and we spent at least 7 hours doing it so why not invest and treat yourself in something comfortable?
