Pros: No know pros
Cons: Hard, hot rock - creates problems that didn't exist before.
The Bottom Line: Would not buy another, very uncomfortable. Consider only with money back guarantee and long trial period. Finally sold ours - couldn't take the pain and lack of sleep any longer.

| taxladytoo's Full Review: Tempur-Pedic Swedish Sleep System |
We purchased a Tempur-Pedic (king) mattress about 18 months ago to replace a very old waterbed. The first thing we noticed was how difficult it was to change positions. We had been told this was normal and would improve with time as our mattress got "broke-in" and it eventually did get better. However, we never experienced the "great nights sleep" that has been so heavily advertised. Unfortunately by the time we realized what a big mistake this mattress was for us it was too late to return it (our local retailer only offered a 30 night exchange provision). The comfort of the mattress has actually gotten steadily worse; to the point that we awaken several times a night due to the very pressure points that this mattress is supposed to relieve. Never had a problem with pressure points before. Back pain occurs almost daily and can last for several hours. We never had back problems before, either. The mattress actually seems to be getting harder as time passes (we haven't experienced the softening mentioned by others). We tried adding a 4" memory foam overlay (4 lb density) to soften "it" up. Didn't help. Heat build up is another problem; overheating causes us to also awaken several times a night. We spent a great deal of money on this mattress and are very disappointed. We followed all the recommendations: firm/hard foundation, time to adjust to the new mattress, etc. Sure wish we still had our old waterbed as we haven't had a decent nights sleep for 18 months! We can't afford to replace this mattress and have been searching for a solution that will turn this horrible mattress into something usable. If anyone has any suggestions we would appreciate them. Update 4-18-04: We sold the darn thing and are currently researching various alternatives (suggestions welcome).
