Pros:Incredibly comfortable at first
Cons:Lifespan is way too short for a mattress
The Bottom Line: Avoid buying- feels great at first, but expect about 4 years of comfort only

I was a die-hard Tempurpedic fan, with the emphasis on "WAS"- we have had their mattress and pillows for several years now. My hubbie gave up on the pillow a long time ago because of softening, but truthfully I still find mine comfortable. The bed is a different story. Count on the bed lasting for about 4 years only! My husband and I are both thin, and his side started softening after 4 years. It is now 4 1/2 years later, and while my side is not as soft as his, it is catching up quickly, and we both wake up with backaches. The company is cute too- their warranty requires a .6 inch depression, but won't cover extreme softening so as to make the mattress no longer supportive. When you press it with your hand it even has a cellophany-type noise. The company has been non-responsive. If you really search online, a lot of people have had similar complaints. I think a mattress that costs in excess of $2000 for a king size should have a life span for more than 4 1/2 years. Avoid an expensive mistake...while it retains its firmness, it feels wonderful, but suffice it to say I am replacing it with another brand mattress. All of the memory foam suffers from similar limitations as far as I could ascertain talking to salespeople and from my research.
I am adding a little more info. on the mattress in response to some questions posed: Before it broke down (softened terribly), it was incredibly comfortable. While others have reported that it was uncomfortably hot, we didn't experience the problem- but I keep the airconditioning on from May to Sept. generally because of my husband's allergies. The mattress comes with a terrycloth cover, which is unzipperable (a little tedious) and machine washable. The warranty is 20 years, 5 years non pro-rated, but does NOT cover softening, only depressions greater than .6 inches. The fact that it depresses way down once pressure is exerted does not count. I notice the new warranty states .75 inches in fact.
