If a book is to be called a classic, it must have entertainment, value, and be able to bring the reader intense emotions. Ten
Thousand Sorrows includes all of those above. This book is a memoir that is unforgettable, whether the reader is Korean or not. This book contains a universal theme that anyone can relate to. This book will reach the reader's heart and be able to touch the area of your lives that needs changing. As an Korean American, Ten Thousand Sorrows was an experiance that is hard to forget. often what the character went through in this book is what my grandmother had been telling me since I was a young child. Unlike books I often read, this book allowed me to fully understand my culture, heritage, and forgiveness. I recommenf this book to anyone that likes to read, Korean Americans, people interested in history, or a teenager. This book is a new book that is able to really reach our hearts.
