Good Product, Just Wish I Didn't Have a Use For It!

Pros: takes the itch away for a temporary time.
Cons: Very Strong Ammonia odor.
The Bottom Line: Great temporary relief of itch associated with insect bites, nice compact size to carry with you. Use in well ventilated area.

The next best thing to not having any bug bites is having a way to counteract that stubborn itching afterwards. If you are like me plagued by the backyard summer BBQ and get the nasty mosquito bites in places you forgot to apply bug spray or places you didn’t think bugs could get to this is for you.
The product comes in a tube about the size of a regular sized marker. It has a cap and even a clip so you could carry it with you in your pockets. The applicator is plastic with a small hole for the liquid product to come out of. There is .5 fl oz (14mL) of product in this tube. It retails for about $3 and some change.
I recommend using this product in a well ventilated area, as the ammonia smell is VERY strong. The first time I used this I was overwhelmed by the scent. But don’t worry the scent does not linger with you long and it makes you wonder if you should save yourself the three bucks and just use regular ammonia.
So does it actually work? Yes, but it is not permanent you will have to reapply during the day or when you feel the irritating itch creep up on you. The product is a little runny it may be better in a cream but it does take the itch away for long enough for you to forget about it.
Directions: Shake Well: apply wet applicator tip to bitten area. Repeat as needed. Prompt use gives maximum relief. Do not bandage or cover until dry.
Active Ingredients: Ammonia (3.5%) (Counterirritant)
Inactive Ingredients: Alcohol Ethoxylate, Dimethicone, Natural Oil, Water Purified
This product can be found in most drug stores or in the seasonal bug spray area of your local store. It is available year round but more prevalent in the summer months.
I love the product, but I hate the mosquito bites. Even though it’s a great product I wish that I didn’t have to use it!
