I have had an aquarium setup in my home for over 15 years and recently my old air pump decided it wasn't going to work any longer. I went to the fish supply house and decided on a Tetra Whisper Air Pump to take care of my needs.

What I Use it For
Everyone knows that a healthy fish tank needs air being pumped into the water. Fish need the water well oxygenated so they can breathe and remain healthy. I also have an under gravel filter system which requires the air to help trap particles of waste matter and to put the oxygen back into the water through two sandstone rods attached to the filters. The Tetra Whisper Air Pump has all the air pumping capacity for my 29 gallon tank.

Specifications
The pump is well constructed and really very compact. It has a rubber base which reduces vibration and noise. The long lasting diaphragm provides trouble free operation.
The pump is UL approved and this is very important because it is going to be used near water and the electrical components must be protected from moisture. The electric cord is about 4 ft long so you can reach any outlet convenient to your aquarium.

Really Quiet
Sometimes during the night, I wake up and am amazed by the lack of noise the Tetra Whisper Air Pump Model 300. With the older model you could really hear it working when the house was quite from several rooms away. With this new pump I actually got up one night just to make sure it was operating properly. There were hardly any vibrations that could be felt through the floor.

Overall
I have now owned my Tetra Whisper Air Pump Model 300 for a couple of months, but I have been very satisfied. If you are new to aquariums or are a seasoned veteran, I would
recommend that you try one of the Tetra Whisper Air Pumps on the market, I’m sure you’ll be very pleased. Tetra is a well known and valued name in the manufacture of fish
