Jan-

I, for one, am not disappointed that the book doesn't delve into the hidden side of MichaelAngelo's life- I appreciate his art (and agony) no matter what he did behind closed doors. Although I had never heard of The Dead Room before, I'm not sure I want to know too much about what went on behind those closed doors either!...Mark

I'll have to let my favorite art history prof know about this. And I may check it out when I have time (ha, yeah).

Great review!

Your writing about this book about art is itself a work of art. Well done.

...as a young girl and finding it very powerful. I don't know when I've stuck with a 600+ page book! Probably when I read Stephen King's "The Stand" over 20 years ago...I'm jealous of your ability to (a) read fast or (b) carve out a lot of reading time in your day!
