After reading the Poisonwood Bible by the same author, I was eager to read something else she had written. This novel was written in a much lighter tone than the Poisonwood Bible and has all the appeal of a fairly easy weekend read. Snuggle up with this great book and you won't be disappointed.
The story is captivating and almost impossible to put down, let alone get off your mind. The situation/story line is slightly unbelievable, but it just endears itself to you even more. I completely enjoyed the book but finished it wishing there was something more. I wanted to know what happens with these characters who were so skillfully developed throughout the book. It drew me in so completely that I, for one, will be watching to see if there are any sequels to what happens to Taylor, Turtle, Lou Ann, and Dewayne Ray!
