I love finding new exfoliation products. When I walked into the Body Shop and asked what they would recommend, the salesperson directed me right to the Blue Corn mask. I am sensitive to strong smells, and this one was a little heavier than I am used to, especially for something that's put on your face. Also, the price was a little expensive for what seemed like a small jar - 14 USD. The sales girl swore by the product though, and I trust the employees at my local Body Shop, so I decided to give it a try.

I wet my face a little bit before putting on the mask, because the granules are kind of harsh and would be painful on dry skin. Surprisingly, the smell went away (that or I got use to it) pretty quickly. It was completely dry in the 15 minutes that I left it on, and I only had to use a small amount to cover my entire face. As instructed, I used small circles to remove it, but that's more for the exfoliation than removal of the mask, so you need to use a washcloth or a lot of water to get the whole thing off. My face felt really "polished" and clean, and very soft - just what a good mask should do. I use it two to three times a week in the summer, which may be too often for dry or even normal skin, but is great for oily skin. In the winter, i cut down to once a week.

Avoid putting it on sunburn or dry skin, it hurts!
