| JENNI1396's Full Review: The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel |
The first time I used The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel was back in 1999 when one of my co-workers suggested it. I've been using it ever since. I used to work in a beauty salon and with customers you can't seem to ever please and kids who wiggle around and scream when you cut their hair. After standing on for 8 straight hours I had achy feet, ankles and legs.
I also used the Cooling Leg Gel when I was pregnant with my daughter last year. It helped relieve the tension in my muscles from the extra weight I was carrying. It also made my feet feel much better and helped my swollen ankles. You can also use The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel on a hot, humid day to cool your skin down or on sunburns to bring relief to your skin.
The scent of peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil smells so great, it calms you down and releases tension even before you apply it to your feet, ankles and legs. It is the scent of the peppermint oil that relieves your tired, achy muscles and leaves your legs feeling refreshed and ready for anything. The scent isn't overwhelming, but a gentle pleasant smell. The gentle scent stays on your skin for hours after you apply it.
The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel has a thick consistency to it (almost too thick). The gel rubs on smoothly and dries quickly, but does leave your legs feeling a little sticky. The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel also is non-greasy and won't stain your clothes. Your skin will feel cool and you will feel a slight tingle when you rub the gel on, but that lets you know it is working. For anyone who has ever used Noxzema face creams will know what I mean by tingly and cool feeling.
The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel won't dry out your skin and is safe to use everyday. In fact it left my skin feeling smooth and silky.
In the four years I've been using the Body Shop's Cooling Leg Gel, I'm only on my fifth 8 oz. tube of it. Each tube lasted me anywhere from 6 to 8 months, depending on how often I needed to use it. The tube the gel comes in is a clear plastic tube.
I recommend The Body Shop Cooling Leg Gel to any woman who needs instant relief to tired, achy muscles (especially pregnant women) as long as you don't mind your skin being sticky, and gel that's too thick. It's inexpensive (at $7.00 for a 8 oz. tube), works wonders, and the scent is invigorating. Also, makes a great gift in any bath and body gift basket. Go out and buy a tube, you won't be disappointed and your achy legs will thank you for it.
