Since I am getting more and more interested in The Body Shop facial cleansers, I wanted to get The Facial Brush to exfoliate my skin. So, I trudged into The Body Shop and purchased The Facial Brush for $5.50
Specs
This clear acrylic handled brush is about 5 inches long and has a circular top with an abundance of soft bristles, that are ready to exfoliate and cleanse. The bristles are white in color. The Facial Brush has a clear plastic cap that covers the bristles. There is a loop at the end of the handle for hanging. Since this brush is so tiny, it can be taken anywhere!
Reasons for Purchase
I wanted to have a small brush that would exfoliate my face. The sales associate said this brush would cause “spa like sensations” since you rub the brush in circular motions and massage your face. Hell, after getting ready to move on May 31, 2005, I need some “spa like sensations” from a facial brush or I may go nuts.
Experience
I apply both my foaming facial cleanser and exfoliating facial scrub to the bristles. I make sure my face is wet, and begin to work my face in circular motions.
“Ooooo la la, I think I feel those “spa like sensations.”
This brush allows you to choose the pressure. If you hold slight pressure, you will definitely give your face and nice soothing massage. If you apply hard pressure, especially with an exfoliator, then you will get a very deep clean. You never have to worry about this brush being hard on your face. You control the pressure.
Before using this brush, I would use my fingers to apply facial cleansers. Now I realize that I was not getting a deep clean. Depending on your facial cleanser, the brush helps lathering as well. My face wasn’t as smooth as it is now. I really enjoy the spa like sensations this brush gives. It feels as if one is getting a face massage.
The Facial Brush is easy to clean. I have used green scrubs, different scents, colors, et cetera on the facial brush. When you hold it under water, move your hands over the bristles a few times, the scent and color of your last facial cleanser will be removed. If you want to clean your brush, you can just put it in a cup of hot water.
While I believe the cap (for on top of the bristles) is great for traveling, I recommend not putting the cap on the bristles after use. The wetness of the bristles being enclosed by a plastic cap will create a nice moldy environment that you will put onto your face.
