Pros: foamy, cheap, smell, lasts awhile, nice tingly feeling, inexpensive, face feels refreshed & clean
Cons: dries out skin, doesn't clear acne
The Bottom Line: An above average cleanser that really makes the skin looked refreshed and clean, but doesn't clear all of my blemishes. Use a moisturizer.

| Twix109's Full Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Daily Foaming Facial Wa... |
I have been recommended by Shantel575 and Mothermeatloaf to try the Tea Tree Oil line that The Body Shop offers. I went into The Body Shop and saw they were having a Buy 2 Get 1 free deal on facial items. Since the Tea Tree Oil line is for blemished or oily skin (I have blemish problems.) I decided to go with The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Daily Foaming Facial Wash for a measly $10.
Specs
The foaming wash comes in a see through green plastic bottle with a pump dispenser that hold 5 ounces of cleanser. The facial wash is a liquid until it passes through the pump. It turns into a nice thick white foam.
I love the scent. I have never smelt Tea Tree Oil before but it has a peppermint smell. I love peppermint. The smell is pretty strong, but not overwhelming. It will clear your sinuses.
Ingredients
Water, Cocomidopropyl Betain, Coco-Glucoside, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxythenol, Sodium Benzoate, PEG-10 Olive Glycerides, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, PVP, Citric Acid.

Claims to fame
Instantly lathers up, unclogging pores as it washes away make-up and oil. With added peppermint oil to refresh and cool skin. A cleansing gel that lathers to gently cleanse, lift impurities and make-up while helping to control shine and blemishes.
Experience
I have to admit I was pretty scared to see the word oil listed on the ingredients. My dermatologist and facial specialist have both told me not to use any product that has an ingredient with the word oil in it. Even though Tea Tree Oil has natural purifying antibacterial properties that are known to help sooth blemished skin.
Since I bought my $5.50 facial brush, I popped off the clear cap and sprayed the foam directly onto the brush. Again, I love the pepperminty feel. It's such a refreshing smell! It totally wakes me up in the morning.
I make sure my face is really wet before applying the foam. It lathers instantly. The brush really massages my skin, opening and exfoliating the pores on my face. The foam has a nice tingly sensation, adding to the pleasure of the brushs massage.
When rinsing, the cleanser comes right off. My face still has a slight tingly sensation. This is a great make-up remover. My eyeliner, blush, eyeshadow, powder, all came off.
My face tends to dry out really easily. I have been using this cleanser for about 3 weeks now and it has only slightly dried out my skin. (I still have about 3/4 of the bottle left.) I use Cetaphil on a regular basis to add moisture back into my face, which allows me to continue to use this cleanser on a daily basis.
As for my acne, my face hasn't really significantly changed. It looks refreshed, feels soft and smooth but I am not acne free. I still have the same amount, if not a few less, pimples.
Final Verdict
I can't give this product a full 5 stars because it hasn't cleared up my blemished conditions and slightly dries out my face.
I love the smell, the nice soft white fluffy foam, the lather, the tingling sensation, and the clean, refreshing feel. My face looks more refreshed and feels soft and smooth.
For $10, it's not a bad deal.
