Pros: Contain many quotes from the Bible
Cons: A work of fiction with a religious bias
The Bottom Line: The Book of Mormon is not the words of God. It is just the words of men. Very capable and very clever, but merely men for all that.

| martinscholes's Full Review: The Book of Mormon Books |
Fraud or mistaken, the Book of Mormon is a book steeped in question and from a dubious history.
It is important to understand that the Book of Mormon has been changed many times over the years since it was first published.
And this must, therefore, tend to mitigate against the claim that the Book of Mormon is "the most perfect book ever written."
Can one ever further perfect upon perfection? Of course not.
Anyone who really studies The Book of Mormon (as I, as a former Mormon, surely did) will notice that many of the stories and incidents in the Book of Mormon have been transplanted totally from the Bible.
Of course, Mormons claim that the similarities in the Book of Mormon to the bible prove that the Book of Mormon is also the "word of God."
This is not true. As I have previously pointed out, sections of the bible have been transplanted into the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is, in reality, an exercise in "cut and paste" rather than a book that is inspired of God, as the Bible is.
