This has to be the best of Grisham's four original novels. It has the most solid storyline, and it develops the characters more than any of his other four originals I've read. The writing style of this book is great, not just focusing on one character, but actually developing over FIVE characters AT ONCE!!! The closest book I can find to "The Client" has to be "The Pelican Brief." It also has a wonderful storyline, and develops the characters well. But "The Client" has to be the best. I was compelled, interested, and could hardly put down the book.

If you read this book and are interested, I would recommend you read "The Partner", or one of Grisham's many other titles.
