I bought mine from Ebay since everyone else seemed to be sold out and didn't provide a resupply date. It was pretty easy to install if you are handy and it does work great. Just as the Doormate website said, my dog did get use to it with no problems and she really seemed to enjoy the freedom it provided. I had to purchase the additional Petprox sensor for this. Unfortunately, it is finicky. From the day I received it I've had problems with the pause function which causes the door to just stay open unless you manually press the close switch. I had to troubleshoot the problem while talking with the company's tech support, which is very helpful, and then wait almost eight weeks for the parts to arrive. That was aggravating. It worked great for a while and then one day the pause function stopped working again and the door just stayed opened. Fortunately we were home at the time. That was because one of my limit sensors slipped, I guess from the torque of moving my door. When that happens it causes a problem with the pause sensor and my door just stays open. This has happened a few times. Recently it even popped out of the door bracket. Once again I believe this is from the torque. I have a heavy sliding glass door. My wife and I are no longer comfortable leaving the door operational when we aren't home and that defeats the whole purpose of us buying it. It works great with the open and close buttons but that isn't why I bought it. With all that said, maybe I just got a bad unit or maybe it will work better with lighter sliding glass doors.
