Pros: Nicely integrated into accompanying videos
Cons: Not as secure as I'd like
The Bottom Line: If space is a consideration, this "mini-step" might work well for you.

| kbacal's Full Review: The Firm Fanny Lifter FAN1 |
My bias, which I'll state up front, is against those fitness or workout videos that seem more like marketing opportunities than workouts. You know what I mean - the kind where the whole workout revolves around some proprietary gizmo, and there is precious little comment given to other options.
I like the Firm videos, as they are pretty straightforward and non-glitzy, but recently they have seemed to be a bit caught up in the marketing hullabaloo. The Fanny Lifter is well incorporated into their tapes and they aren't AWFUL about giving workarounds if you don't have it, but they're not great either. More recent tapes have gotten worse, expecting you to have several pieces of equipment.
That said, the two steps - which are stackable, so you have a low, medium, and high option - work pretty well. They are a bit tippy, so you have to be careful about foot placement - which they continually stress on the accompanying tapes.
I found that they nonstick rubber edging on mine came off very easily. It's not a problem to slide it back on (it's not glued or anything) but my puppy got hold of it so there are now several pieces where there used to be one, and that doesn't help in terms of its not moving when you're stepping on and off of it.
When they're stacked, they are a bit tippy as well. They do fit inside one another, but it's not as secure as I'd like, especially when you're bracing yourself on it.
If you don't have a step, this is one option, but I am not sure it's the best one, compared with other, larger steps that can be used with more workouts.
