This is my first child and therefore my first baby monitor but I would highly recommend this one to any new mom. I received this monitor as a gift while pregnant and am very grateful for it. I feel like i can move around the house without worrying when I carry this unit with me. I'm able to hear the slightest sounds of my son stirring in his crib so I know exactly when I need to go to him. I think everyone should use this monitor when they need to be away from the baby in order to get chores done or just to relax for a few minutes but still know if he is ok.
