My son was in the NICU and we had to use this thing. I couldn't do it at first because I had this fear I'd suck his brains out LOL so I'd tell the nurses that he was 'snurfly' and we just all ended up calling it a desnurfler.
And now you know the rest of the story =)

Ewwww, I'm with you, Shantel, only I quit using ours way before either of my kids was able to develop a long term memory of it. I made my husband do it and only when it was absolutely necessary. I love the desnurfler term! Much better than aspirator!

I'm so totally cracking up reading this. I know, I shouldn't be.
We call it booger sucker. By child number three, you are quite happy with the snurfling sound... ah! Success! And... cleaning tip... I put mine in a Kleenex, squeeze all the stuff out of it, then toss it in the dishwasher. :) Less contact with undesirables.

I nearly choked when I read 'snot sucker'. I don't know why that cracks me up so much. We call ours the 'desnurfler' but 'snot sucker' would work too.
Great review.
