This book sent a chill up(and down) my spine. Not just from the action and tension that the book produced, but from the realism and details presented by the author.
Having spent some time in the intelligence field myself, I was shocked at the realistic way that the author described events in the book. Though this book was written as fiction, the author's portrayal of the CIA, FBI, and other task forces was so close to reality that I almost checked the cover for a classification stamp. The realism continued with the detailed descriptions of the terrorists actions.
If you are looking for some insight into the way US intelligence agencies operate and want to read a good thriller novel at the same time, this is the one for you.
I was a little disappointed with the romance that developed early in the novel. It didn't seem to add anything to the story except a larger page count. The ending also was a bit disappointing. It seemed almost as though the author got tired of writing and just decided to end the book all of a sudden. There were a lot of loose ends at the conclusion -- could there be a sequel?
