still hurt when I recall those scenes where Laura and Mary spent hours twisting the hay to make heating fuel!

I actually wore out a set of these books as a kid. This one I remember vividly, and the yearning for spring time and the thaw was so intense. Thank you for reminding me about this series, I suspect I will be turning to them as comfort reading. -- Telynor

meaning to leave a comment on these books and how much my oldest daughter loved them. At one time we had the entire collection. Hey, I even sat down and read them! :)

I enjoy reading your reviews on them--sometimes you mention something I've forgotten.
