Lord of the Ring
Written: Jun 18, 2001
Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
Pros:Intricate, engaging, entertaining.
Cons:Causes loss of sleep due to reading when I should be sleeping
The Bottom Line: Take the time this summer to read the trilogy. You won't be disappointed.
If you enjoy tales of adventure, enchanting creatures, interesting people, good vs. bad, dark vs light you will be spellbound by the trilogy.
These books keep me interested through the very end. I tend to get bored easy while reading. Especially something so long but I just haven't had the chance to be bored. There are so many different characters coming and going that it's a little difficult to keep it straight but that's the only bad thing I can think of.
I would never leave my house without the book i was reading in hand.
The mythical creatures in the book are so well described that I was able to carry a clear mental picture in my head. The landscape was so well explained that I had no problem picturing it in my mind.
The tale written in The Lord of the Rings is one you will remember well into your life and it will be one you think back on fondly.
