Pros:a more realistic version of a favorite legend, portrayed from a woman's point of view
Cons:more on the bias side
The Bottom Line: It's a great book and one of my favorites! I think people who like the King Arthur legend should really read it, it sheds new light on an old legend.
I love this book mainly because it gives a different point of view. It's written in the perspective of Morgaine, half sister to King Arthur. Although this book is based on the legend, it mainly centers around Morgaine's struggle through different problems in life (she goes through three different stages in her life). The book takes place during a time when there was a lot of controversy between paganism and christianity with Morgaine and Arthur in the center of it. When I read the book, I couldn't put it down for a second because it was so enchanting. This book is also a bit bias, but I found no problems with it and neither did my friends.
