I was looking for a 3-season sleeping bag and I've found it. This bag rocks - I've owned one other sleeping bag, a synthetic, and this bag is far superior. Nothing beats its versatility. I've used it in 45 degree weather in Northern California, at Yosemite Valley in November when it can get down to 0 degrees, and in the Andean Highlands in late April when rain can be the norm. In all cases, the bag performed admirably. It provided enough ventilation in the warmer climates, but trapped the heat in the cooler climates. And even in wet weather, when my Kazoo got a little wet, it still retained its structure and keep me warm.
A down sleeping bag, versus a synthetic bag, is much more compressible and is often lighter for the same warmth rating. Both of these attributes were very important for me when choosing a sleeping bag. I was able to store the Kazoo in a compression sack that, when stuffed, was no larger than a soccer ball. When I removed the sleeping bag from the compression sack, the down was still evenly distributed in the bag. Although you never want to keep a down bag in a compressed state for extended periods (e.g. when keep in storage), storing the bag this way during your hike or outdoor excursion will not damage the bag at all.
In short, the Kazoo is a great 3 season all-purpose bag that is also a great value. You can't go wrong with this bag.
