Pros: Good bag at a reasonable price

The Bottom Line: Find this bag on sale and buy it, then get outdoors!!!! Good bag, decent
price, typical North Face quality.

This bag has the most features for the money of all the bags we looked at.
My husband and I both have one, he has the long and I have the short
and we both agree they are quite comfortable. They also have zippers
on opposite sides so we can zip them together if we want, although that
is not as warm as sleeping individually.
The Cat's Meow is rated to 15 degrees F and I think that is an accurate rating. We have slept in them at the temperature and it was a bit chilly.
Not bad, but I don't think I would want to go much below that in this bag.
This bag has a lot of nice features such as a pillow pocket (stick some thing soft in there for an instant pillow) and a draw string hood to reduce
air flow. Some other reviews noted that the bag was a bit expensive, but if
you look in the off season you can find them on sale for $99.00 which is a
bargain for this bag. Much less expensive than many comparable bags
by other makers and you get North Face quality!
I have had this bag for almost 3 years now and used to loads of times in
conditions from Christmas Day in West Texas, September on the Inca
Trail, and a freak August snow storm in the Uinta Mountains and it has
held up great. The only two problems I have noted are sometimes the
zipper catches the material of the bag (but has not put a rip in it yet) and
that I am going to have to buy a new stuff sack eventually because after
extended use the stitching around the drawstring is starting to come out.
These bags have served us well and look like they will continue to do so
for many more trips!
