Pros: Lightweight, WARM, Comfortable, Cost-effective. Soft Pertex liner.
Cons: Small zipper pocket. A little tight around the hindquarters.
The Bottom Line: This is the ultimate three-season bag for a camper/sleeper on a budget. Great comfort, lightweight. I would recommend this bag to anyone who can't spend a lot of money

| androoos's Full Review: The North Face Cat's Meow Reg |
What a great bag! This Cat's Meow 3D is the best bag I've owned (LLBean +20 and EMS 0 degree being the other two). The EMS bag was too warm to use except when camping in the winter. It was certainly a 2 season bag. The LLBean suffered from the same problem. Too warm to sleep in during the spring or summer.
This bag is warm enough to keep me happy until it dips below 15 degrees, but at the same time, it will keep me warm in the wintertime. Even though its winter now (Upstate NY knows nothing BUT winter) I've tried to simulate operating conditions in my house by turning the temperature up to 75 and trying to sleep in this bag. It can be done, its not uncomfortable at all, especially if the bag is used as a sort of comforter. The Polarguard 3D is as soft as down, it just costs two thirds less. The inside is nice and soft, the only complaint is the small pocket/velcro closure stratching my face every now and then.
When I'm totally zipped up in the bag, the only complaint that I have is that its a little narrow around my midsection. (I am 6'1, 250 lbs, so I think its more my problem than TNF's.) The pillow pocket seems to be sent from heaven. I have never been treated to such luxury in a sleeping bag. Wonderful idea!
This bag comes with its own storage sack and a compression sack. I was a little disappointed with the compression sack's final size, but I'm sure that the bag can be compressed even further. Still, its very compact and very lightweight. Campers and hikers will appreciate the weight savings. I personally like to run Adirondack mountain trails with my friends and spend the night at the summit, so I appreciate its weight because i have to be absolutely minimalist in what I pack.
Lastly, this bag accomplishes much of what the pricey Sierra Designs, Moonstone and Marmot bags do, only for about half the price of what those bags sell for. This particular bag can be found in places on the internet for under $130.
