| LilRdBird's Full Review: The Original Furby |
I purchased my daughter a Furby for her birthday last year because she had asked for one.
Upon installation of the batteries, he stated his name, "ME COCOA", just like the instructions said he would. I proceeded to put him back in the box, but then he began speaking a language I couldn't understand, better known as Furbish. Back out of the box came "Cocoa", along with the instructions.
By reading the instructions, I learned "Cocoa" needed to be fed, played with, and talked to. It also liked having his back rubbed, but until they learn English, it's hard to know what they want.
Then came the day "Cocoa" met the furby next door. Placed facing each other, they began playing hide & seek, dancing, and singing with each other. After a while, they both decided they were tired, and politely fell asleep. All this left me wondering what was really inside this little creature known as "Furby".
"Cocoa" was great fun for us, while it lasted. The new soon wore off, and "Cocoa" now sits on a shelf, without her batteries. We on the other hand, now know what all the fuss was about.
