Pros: Nice location close to the Gardens on Boylston Street.
Cons: The food and the service
The Bottom Line: Let me see...lousy service and below average food...but fairly busy. Either everyone else there was there for the first time like us....or I am missing out on something.

| csilv's Full Review: The Rattlesnake Bar and Grill |
My wife and I decided to stop for lunch on an afternoon we were spending in Boston. Having just left the Gardens, we decided to head back toward the Prudential Center on Boylston Street. It was a nice day, and along our walk we noticed that the sign outside the Rattlesnake Bar and Grill offered rooftop dining...so we gave it a shot.
The menu offers a mix of salads, sandwiches, and tex-mex entrees. So we went to the roof and had some lunch. We were seated at a plastic (probably made by "rubbermaid") table with an umbrella which had a nice view of the backs of three surrounding buildings and their decaying brick exteriors. Rooftop on the shortest building on the block doesn't exactly afford the best view of the neighborhood. But it was a nice day, and this wasn't of much concern.
I ordered the Jerk Chicken on the recommendation of our waitress Becca, and my wife had the chicken fajitas.
The food was okay but nothing to write home about. The chicken in both of our dishes was all white meat and lean. The weird thing was, that it didn't have that grilled flavor, nor did it have any identifiable markings that it had ever been on a grill...weird since we were at a Bar and "Grill". It looked and tasted more like it had been pan grilled or stir-fried.
Our waitress was very unattentive and did not place our orders the way we had asked...mine with rice and no beans came out with the usual rice and beans combo. My wife asked for extra sour cream and no guacamole....and when the bill came was charged for the extra sour cream. Not a big deal, just slightly annoying.
Anyway..the place was busy, so they must be doing something right, but I think I'd rather be bitten by a rattlesnake than eat at the Rattlesnake again.
