I own every Sims game ever made and that includes Sims 2.
When the Sims games first game out, I was hooked. However, over time, I realized that these were very tired people who really had a lot of needs. I suppose it was very much like a lot of people! When the new Sims 2 games came out, I was at first very skeptical. But after learning how to make three story buildings and create really cool homes, I was hooked. The fun thing about Sims 2 Pets game is being able to create your own pet. You can register the pet's breed and create different coat types and colors. If you purchase the Sims 2 Seasons game, you can enjoy having your pets and watching the weather change. I especially love it when the pets walk through the snow and they are small dogs!
I have a white small "Goldendoodle" that I created and you can barely see him romping through the snow because he's so small and the snow can get quite deep.
I like Sims 2 pet because you can interact with your pet just like in the real world. Your dog can be finicky; cowardly; a pain in the butt or evil! But be careful! Your pet can die of a cold or weather related issues; he or she can be struck by lightening; your pet can scratch itself to death from NOT getting groomed and cleaned by the Sim owner and your pet can also run away from home if you don't give him or her enough love. If you like simulation games and you've had other Sims games in the past, you'll completely enjoy the Sims 2 pets game.
