quasar,
***I've always loved this book. Did you know they have a statue of Ferdinand in downtown Manhattan a block or so from Battery Park? I've always wanted to take a copy of the book with me to the city and read it in front of the statue.
Ferdinand in Manhattan? Nice. I will have to make sure I look for it if I ever get into the City. Thanks for the read.

M,
***I used to love this book when I was a kid, and I'm glad to see it's still around. I read this book to my kids in Spanish too, and they love it too.
This book definitely has longevity. Seventy years old? That's quite a story to captivate millions and millions of readers.
BTW, will you read it to me in Spanish as well? :)

Sue,
***Have since I was little - what a great choice for this W/O. And a two-fer to boot!
I told you, I'm all about stretching the almighty dollar. I need too if I have to visit the movie theatres again. ;)

Mother of My Spawn,
***...growing up, my parents called me the "bull in the china shop" because I'm so clumsy. I have no idea why--I am so delicate! ;)
I really have no idea why as well. :::rolling eyes:::
***Most Helpful. Oh, I can't press that magical button. I will give it the Super Duper Extra Helpful status.'
I'll take whatever I can get. Now we just need to make a button that says "Super Duper Extra Helpful".
Oh, by the way, thanks for the comment. LOL

Lisa,

I just caught the Disney animated short recently and it's still a good cartoon. Definitely a classic. Thanks for reading.

Cindy,
***Could it get any better than this? A two-fer is the best kind of entry - thanks again! I love this book, and I think the idea of so many people reading it together is just lovely.
I'm always the one looking for deals and maximizing a situation. This just happened to fall into that category. :)
