The Switch
Sandra Brown
Warner, Sept 2000
No one can tell apart identical twins Gillian and Melina Lloyd. However, Gillian deeply reflects before deciding anything while Melina allows an immediate impulse to determine what to do. At lunch, Gillian tells her sister that she went to a clinic and became artificially inseminated that morning. She will know if she is pregnant in a week. Melina convinces her sibling to replace her as an escort to Native American astronaut Chief Hart.
Gillian unwillingly agrees, but takes pleasure in her night out with the sexy Chief. The next day the police notify Melina that Gillian is dead. They believe a worker at the fertilization clinic Dale Gordon killed Gillian before committing suicide. Both Melina and Chief feel the official explanation to simple and begin to make their own inquiries even as they fall in love with one another.
As expected from the incredible Sandra Brown, The Switch is a taut romantic thriller that is so chillingly conceivable readers will know how awesome Ms. Brown is. The story line opens with action that never eases up until the reader completes the final page. The lead characters are a charming duo whose love blossoms even as they search for answers and a killer. Ms. Brown will quickly attain her normal spot on the top of all the bestseller lists.
