The Te of Piglet describes the chinese art of "te" meaning virtue, a trait synonymous with Piglet. While the book concerns itself with the transformation of Virtue into Virtue that Steps Out, you see Piglet confused and wayward. Pooh wants to make sure that he is still in the "sequel" to the popular The Tao of Pooh.
Taoistic explanations of the Tigger Tendency and the Eeyore Effect are brought into play that I will touch upon slightly.
The Tigger Tendency is one of "western ways", the restless seekers of the instant gratification and the larger-than-life overseekers. It shows the bouncy ways of Tigger. It shows that if the "tiggers" of the world don't learn to control their impulses, their impluses will control them. A wonderful lesson that tends to get lost in the world of "more more more".
The Eeyore Effect is one that tells of the Negative News Media and the Whiners of the world. Where optimism is not an issue. Where there is sadness and grief no matter what happens in life. The view of the glass is half empty rather than half full.
This is a fine tale with many wonderful illustrations of all your favorites, Kanga, Christopher Robin, Roo, etc...
I highly recommend this and its companion, The Tao of Pooh, to anyone looking to understand Taoism and the Way.
