Reason For Reading
The recent events concerning the Russian submarine “Kursk” that was lost at sea made me interested in the topic of submarines and submarine rescue. I went looking for a book on the subject and found a fairly recent book called " The Terrible Hours". It was written by a very well known author, namely Peter Maas. Some of the more familiar stories he has written are; " The Valachi Papers", and " Serpico".
