If you are looking for a book which will educate you (or someone else) about the generalities of Wicca please consider this small text as your first purchase. The basic beliefs and practices of the faith are put forth in this brief title by the late Scott Cunningham.
This book makes a wonderful resource for someone who has felt the pull toward Witchcraft, but truly doesn't know the first thing about it.
This book makes a wonderful gift for one's parents, if you should follow the Wiccan religion and they do not.
In under 200 pages, Mr. Cunningham details the Wiccan faith. He explains the lore, the practices, and the core beliefs. He dispels half-truths and misconceptions about the Craft and does so in an easy-to-understand and non-threatening manner.
It covers:

-- nudity and sex and whether they are a part of the Path
-- the holidays which correspond to the cycles of nature
