Until I found this series of books, I thought nothing could come close to Tolkien's fantasy worlds. However, Jordan has done it with the Wheel of Time series. The world he creates is incredibly real with wonderfully developed characters. The "good vs. evil" theme isn't black and white, it includes characters that can't be described as either (unusual in a fantasy book). These are the books I wish I had written, which seem to follow Tokiens plan.
From the moment you begin to delve into Jordan's world, he makes you believe and his imagination is poured into your head. I can recommend these books enough. If you enjoyed the Lord of the Rings, don't miss out on Jordan's masterpiece.
