| ssea's Full Review: Thera Beads Personal Moist Heat Pack |
My mom gave me her old Therabead Heat Pack to use when I was having pain related to a chiropractor's mistake. Regardless of how I came to make use of it, the thing was a life saver, and I will be forever grateful to her for loaning me this terrific product.
My only problem was how to get one of my own or to replace hers so she was not without this wonderous square of pain relief, as the store she bought it from no longer carried this item.
Well, this X-mas I found a number of places to purchase this product for all my friends who might want the relief I have experienced from this product -- right here online! Go to either aarppharmacy.com or reliefmart.com to buy one for yourself. I found that the AARP site will sell to anyone regardless of whether you are a member or not and at a great price, but at any price this product is a terrific bargain.
The ease of use is fantastic. Just pop it into your microwave for about 1.25 minutes and "voila" you are ready to use it. Mine came with a felt cover, which I should warn you can be melted if you leave it in the microwave too long. The proof is in the holes in the cover that were there when the heat pack was given to me. I always wrap a towel around it when I place it against my skin. I often sit in my computer chair with it against my back while I surf the net. It is also great to place on your shoulders, neck, hips, etc - and even as a bed warmer. I have found it will even calm down your stomach by placing the warmth against that area, if you are sick.
Heat packs just like this product are probably used at your local physical therapy establishments, and are great for relaxing sore muscles.
Mine is 8 or 9 inches x 12 inches, but can be bought in other sizes. I found this size perfect! It comes with a cover. When not in use, I just hang it in my bathroom over a towel rack till completely dry (as it is moist heat thus moisture in it). Later you can put it in a cupboard, if you are not using it, but I use mine so often that it is never really stored. And, even better, it never seems to wear out!
There is no amount of praise I would spare when thanking Therabead for this wonderful product.
UPDATE: Prices rising on this product, and thus I found another site that is most likely the cheapest place to purchase the is great product! DMI - Dura Med Industries
