Yes, category leads are now capable of adding products to the database. See the profile of a CL in the category you wish to add items. There should be instructions and sometimes a webpage dedicated to adding products.

Hey, is there some way to get them to add something to the DB??? Last I knew, we were stuck with what some mysterious force decided was relevant. i've got some products I'd like to add and review. . . .

Yeah, I'm a gear junkie so I go out and buy all the newest gear. This is bad because it costs me a fortune, but it's good because I get to review the products and make a lil bit of the money back.

I have the lite 20 chair kit and I just had it added to the DB so I could review it. I love it! I'm writing a review on another new product as we speak, and then the chair kit next...should be out this weekend--don't steal it from me! ;-)

They keep coming up with improvements, forcing me to consider buying still more (do you have ANY idea what we have spent on Thermarests over the years??).

As for the chair, there's a heavy kit and a light one. The heavy one is great (made by Crazy Creek, I think, not Thermarest). You can leave the mattress inside the whole trip, just unbuckle and sleep. The light one is also great: more hassle (you have to unstuff the chair to sleep on the pad) but only 11 oz. We have never punctured a pad using either one. The only puncture we've had was when my spouse failed to notice a cactus spine under the tent last year at Organ Pipe.

I haven't got any holes yet. I abuse the LE in ways unimaginable such as using it as a raft or a sled on snow. It's a tough cookie. Can't wait to see how the Prolite compares.

I always get holes in my thermarest'ers and do make mine a chair. Worth it on a backpacking trip? Yes
