Thorlos Lite Walking offers the most padded protection possible in a lightweight construction. CoolMax and stretch nylon run throughout the sock to provide superior wicking characteristics. Medium density padding is added to ball and heel for added protection. Lightweight padding in arch and lace pad provides protection and better fit.

Manufacturer Details

With a blend of 72% CoolMax, 26% Nylon, and 2% Thorlo, these socks are engineered to offer the most padded protection possible in a lightweight construction to protect the foot from shock, concussion, abrasion and blisters.

Why I Bought

I purchased these for when its hot outside and my feet perspire a lot no matter the temperature and are great for running shoes especially Adidas Climacool Running Shoes such as Adidas Clima Cool Dialect Technical Running Shoes - Free from Wetness since the two technologies greatly compliment each other. These socks help your feet stay dry in the heat. I purchased these also because I wanted to have some that would be appropriate for wearing with jeans or slacks especially since it looks funny to have short socks on with when your not wearing shorts.

Usefulness

They have plenty of comfort in the aspect of cushioning because they do not just flatten out like your basic Hanes or Fruit of Loom socks that just are almost paper thin. Plus the comfort in keeping your feet dry from breathing away the moisture from your feet. As well as the comfort that you get from having dry feet. I have also found them useful for wearing as everyday socks to keep your feet dry even while at home or working in the office or while engaged in exercise intensive routines where a lot of perspiration occurs.

Durability

These socks will last you for years to come as long as you keep yours shoes properly tied and toenails reasonable length; meaning that you feet are not loose in the boots rubbing against the heel portion and your toenails are at normal length so they do not essentially cut through the sock itself. Another thing that is important is proper washing and drying to extend life of the socks.

Washing Directions

Use mild soap and chlorine free bleach so that you do not cause the wool to fall apart.

Drying Directions

I usually place them on cycle of tumble dry low or hang dry them since high heat is not needed since they are made of wool even though it may take a little longer. High heat in the long run can cause the CoolMax to bind up some making the socks uncomfortable.

Times to be used

They are perfect for running or working or day around the house.
