Pros: This is the creme la creme of messenger bags.
Cons: Comes at a price.
The Bottom Line: The Timbuk2 Dee-Dog is the top dog of large-capacity messenger bags. May not be comfortable without optional strap-pad.

I am not a bike courier. I am a writer and have no car. My messenger bag is therefore one tool consisently used and depended upon to be no only durable but comfortable for long-distance traveling and also enough cargo room for a multitude of books, notebooks, etc. The Dee Dog has satisfied me to a tee, as the site (www.timbuk2.com) this bag does make life worth living again.
The Dee Dog I purchased has all available features (the strap-pad is HIGHLY reccomended) and was delivered in a timely fashion. I am never ceased to be amazed by the amount and weight of items this bag can comfortably handle. I have carried HUGE stacks of books, multiple bottles of wine and general groceries in this bag. The quality is immaculate, this bag was manufactured for the long-haul. All seams and possible liabilities for wear and tear are well-reinforced and I have no doubt this bag will last a good long time.
I first heard of Timbuk2 from a co-worker who showed me their five-year old (and well-stained, including bleach marks) bag that still functioned perfectly. The first thing to wear-out will be the velcro. I reccomend this bag to anyone who is willing to invest in quality.
