| toptechreviews's Full Review: Timex Sports Ironman Triathlon 100-Lap 51931 Wrist... |
I received my watch about a year ago and it has been on my wrist every since. You might think that is normal, but I go through watches fast. Previously I could only keep a watch for about 6 months or so. I am a professional firefighter and my job is very rough on watches to say the least. I am an ironman fan, but this watch caught my eye with all the features.
Explaining each feature would take three pages so I will just simplify this in list form. Here they are:
50-lap memory,
including heart rate, lap time and split time
Target heart rate zone alarms
Total time in heart rate zone
Average heart rate in heart rate zone
Average heart rate for workout
Automatic age-based heart rate zone calculation
Display with flipping system for easy reading of heart rate and elapsed time
Oversized digits
INDIGLO night-light
All Day INDIGLO display
NIGHT-MODE feature
100-hour chronograph with lap or split
100-hour countdown timer
Month/day/date
12/24 hour time
Alarm
Dark blue case with light blue accents
Watch - Water resistant to 50 meters
As you can see this watch will do just about anything. It also comes with a fitness belt that you attach around your body right below your pectorals. It then transmits an FM signal to the watch with your heart rate. It will also time how long you stay in your preset heart rate zone. As you can see above it comes with all the functions for timing your laps efficiently.
I have not had to change the battery yet on this watch and it has gone for about a year.
I do not really have any complaints about this device except for the size is a little big for me considering I have a relatively small wrist. Even in my most intensive workouts or extreme conditions on the job, this watch has lasted and endured. That is why I give it 5 stars.
