Itchy Piggies May Need Ting Antifungal Spray Powder

Written: Mar 05 '09
Pros:works for Athletes feet
Cons:somewhat expensive
The Bottom Line: Ting antifungal spray cured my itchy toes.

As I was writing this review I thought to myself I cannot believe I'm reviewing this product let alone admitting to a very intimate (to me) problem.  You may not know this about me, but as soon as it is warm outside, I am barefoot all throughout the summer until cold weather forces me to wear shoes again.  I will be 42 in April and never had any foot problems, ever.

For some reason this past January, I noticed my foot was itchy, mainly my right foot.  So I scratched the itch and thought nothing of it.  That night I finished my shower noticed my foot was itchy, particularly the one toe so I scratched the itch again.  I noticed the itchy spot was red and tender to the touch.

What I didn't know at the time was the itch was a sign of athletes feet and over the upcoming days, my foot became itchier and the the tender places spread over all 5 toes on my right foot.  I could only stand the itch for about 4 days and told hubby I have to buy something that will heal my foot.  When we went to the Dollar General store to pick up paper towels and such, I looked for a spray for athletes feet.  I found Ting Antifungal spray powder, almost choked at the pricetag of $2.75 for the small spray can but bought it anyhow.

As soon as I got home I took off my shoes and socks and headed for the bathroom.  After scrubbing my feet and drying them thoroughly, I picked up the Ting Antifungal spray and started reading the can.

Ting Antifungal spray is for jock itch, athletes feet and even ringworm purportedly.  The can states shake well and hold approximately 4-6 inches from the affected area.  I placed my foot over the clawfoot bathtub, shook the can very well and attempted to spray a thin layer on my right foot.  The can recommends concentrating on the areas between the toes.  I sprayed the spot I noticed first and waited.  The Ting Antifungal Spray Powder comes out of the can almost clear and within seconds the spray turned powdery looking on my foot.  The toe that was the sorest began to burn within seconds.  Also on the label it is recommended to use this product 2 times a day for 4 weeks.

After 2 weeks of using this product at night and in the morning, my foot was almost completely healed.  The toe that was the worst took a while to heal since I had all but scratched it raw.  I was careful to put the washrags and towels I used on my feet directly into the washer since I did not want this to spread.  I also put on a different pair of clean socks every time I used Ting Antifungal Spray Powder.  I went through a lot of dirty laundry but to get rid of itchy feet was worth the extra washer loads.

Overall I am pleased with this product.  I cannot comment if it cures jock itch or ringworm but it did work for the athletes feet.  There is still some left in the can for any future itchy toes which I hope never to experience this again.

Ting Antifungal spray contains 2% miconazole nitrate.
