A friend loaned this to me. Her triplets loved it. I figured my son would as well. I started putting him on it at about 2-3 months. He's now almost 8 months and for some reason, he never liked it.
I first thought maybe he didn't like the toys swinging above him, but he had another gym which had toys hanging even lower and he loved it.
I would recommend it to others, however for some reason my son had an aversion to it. It's a comfy, quilted mat, though I never figured out how to detach the arch for washing. The attached toys were bright and colorful. We had the multi color, not the black and red.
It was fairly easy to use, but I had a hard time snapping and unsnapping it with one hand while holding the baby. Also, when snapped, the mat would not stay between the arches, where I think it was supposed to. It can easily be stored standing in a corner and doesn't take up much room when opened.
