Pros: Appeal to TN Titans fans, cute, holds money,
Cons: It's breakable
My granddaughter received several piggy banks as gifts before she was born last August but my husband prefers the Tennessee Titans Ceramic Piggy Bank which he has taken upon himself to fill with quarters. He's a Titans (and Vols) fan so anything sports oriented puts him in "Rah, Rah" heaven.
The piggy bank isn't very large, 6" x 5", so I don't think it'll take him long to get it filled since he adds quarter to it every day when he comes home from work. The ceramic bank has the traditional piggy look (ears, snout, tail, feet, round belly) but is sports themed with the words Born To Be A Titans Fan on it along with the Tennessee Titans logo.
The logo, outlined in white, is a large T in a navy blue circle surrounded by 3 stars (similar to the stars on our state flag) with a trail of Titan Blue and red flames favoring the shape of a comet.
The rubber stopper on the bottom of the bank is a little stiff to remove but we've only removed it once when we examined the bank. If we continue to fill and then empty the bank, the stopper may get easier to take out and put back in.
I don't think this piggy bank will ever make it to my daughter's house but will remain here where my husband can maintain it along with continually adding money over the years. It's surprising how fast quarters can add up.
Overall, it's a cute piggy bank, it's ceramic, sports themed, and holds money. It's not overly large or tacky. I think my granddaughter will be happy with her bank account when she gets older - the total will help towards her college education.
The Tennessee Titans Ceramic Piggy Bank was received as a gift but can be bought Online from amazon.com for around $20. Shop around as you may find it cheaper.
