| Marciano11's Full Review: Titleist DCI 981 Irons |
Recently, I purchased the Titleist 981 irons, 3-PW. I use to play with the older gold Titleist irons and I thought a change would be nice. These new irons add a significant advantage to my game and I will tell you why.
The 981's are better than their predecessors because of the newly designed cavity back. The lower irons are struck with more force and it seems as though every shot I hit is almost pure. The higher irons, 7-Wedge, are as accurate as can be and I have no problem taking dead aim at any pin location on the course. The ball jumps off these clubs like I have never seen before and I am now hitting each shot with one club less from my previous set. For example, my 9-iron use to go about 130-135 and now when I'm sitting comfortably at about 145-150, I can accurately go for the flag with because of the controllable distance that these clubs provide.
I recommend these clubs to serious golfers with handicaps below 15 who demand high performance.
