As I have said in other reviews I've written, I am not a long hitter. I need a ball that provides a lot of distance but as a golfer playing off a handicap of 15 I also need feel and spin. Is this ball the whole package? No
The first thing I noticed about this ball is that it is incredibly long. In my opinion it is the longest ball I have ever hit (other than the Callaway HX Red). Of course this is the first thing I noticed about the ball because the first hole at my home course is a par 5 and I play a driver off the tee and then a 3 wood just short of the green. My first 2 shots are with the 2 longest clubs in my bag.
This ball 5-10 meters longer than most others ball I've hit and is great for a golfer who needs the assistance with distance but has a high handicap.
This ball has also been designed to have very low spin rates of the driver and other long clubs making it an incredibly straight ball as well.
Where this ball just isn't up to scratch is in terms of spin and feel.
Because the ball is an out and out distance ball it does not have a soft feel at all. It feels like a rock coming of the clubs, especially the putter. I need a ball that feels soft for my short shots.
Also, the ball just doesn't spin. Not at all. To score around the greens I need to able to attack to hole and have the ball spin and stop. This ball doesn't. It lands and just keeps rolling and rolling.
This is a great ball for a short hitter but probably more a short hitter who has a high handicap.
I can see the benefits of this ball for these golfers but I would not recommend it to anyone with a handicap of below 20.
It is definitely not a ball for me and will never again be on the tee in front of my driver.
