The question here is: Are you a good enough player to play with a $4-$5 ball. You have to decide that either you can afford to lose more money in golf balls than green fees or you are a strong enough player that you end up with more balls than when you started. Either way this ball is great!!! I played with Titleist Tour Balata's for years. I feel that the Professional has much more durability. It doesn't have the same feel as the Balata, but that is the sacrifice you make for a more durable ball. If I play a round with the Balata you can throw the ball in the lake at 18 because it won't last another hole. On the other hand, the Professional will last me a good 27 holes. It doesn't look pretty at the end but it still flys pure. Unless you are a low handicap and prefer to play with new balls, I suggest that you use the Professional. I have gotten more value of these and I hope you do too.
